This Privacy Policy explains how UseLocalGuide (“we,” “us,” “our”) collects, uses, and protects information when you use our website and software platform (the “Service”). The Service helps business owners and teams manage Google Business Profile activity, including AI-assisted review replies.

2. Information We Collect

Account

Name and email address.
Login credentials (passwords are stored in hashed form).
Plan and subscription status.

Billing

Billing details are processed by third-party payment providers. We do not store full card numbers.

Google Business Profile Data (Connected Accounts)

If you connect your Google account via OAuth, we access and process only the data necessary to provide the features you enable, and only for Business Profile locations you are authorized to manage. Depending on your usage, this may include:

Account and location identifiers and metadata (e.g., name, category, address/phone where available via API).
Reviews and review metadata (e.g., rating, author name as provided by Google, timestamp, comment text).
Automation settings, approvals, logs, and analytics generated by the Service.

Technical & Usage

IP address, device/browser type, pages viewed, timestamps, and error/security logs.
Cookies and similar technologies used for authentication, security, and preferences.

3. OAuth Tokens

When you connect Google, we receive OAuth access and refresh tokens from Google. These tokens are used to call Google APIs on your behalf. We store tokens securely and encrypt them at rest. You may disconnect Google at any time in your dashboard, and you may also revoke access through your Google Account Security settings.

4. How We Use Information

Provide, operate, maintain, and improve the Service.
Sync Google Business Profile data you authorize.
Generate AI drafts for replies based on your inputs, settings, and authorized data.
Publish replies when you explicitly approve or when you enable automation settings.
Prevent fraud, secure accounts, and enforce our policies.
Provide customer support and communicate service updates.

We do not sell or rent your personal information.

5. Google API Services User Data Policy

UseLocalGuide’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We use Google user data only to provide and improve user-facing features that you request, and we do not use Google user data for advertising or sell it to third parties.

6. Sharing & Disclosure

We share information only as needed to run the Service, including:

Google: to retrieve Business Profile data and publish actions you request through authorized APIs.
Vendors: hosting, email delivery, logging/monitoring, and payment processing providers as needed to operate the Service.
Legal/Safety: to comply with law, respond to lawful requests, protect users, or prevent fraud/abuse.

7. Data Retention

We retain information for as long as necessary to provide the Service and comply with legal obligations. We may retain limited logs for security, fraud prevention, and auditing. If you disconnect Google, we stop accessing Google data through OAuth.

8. Data Deletion & Requests

You can request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting support@uselocalguide.com. Upon verified request, we will delete or anonymize applicable data within a reasonable timeframe unless retention is required by law or needed for security/fraud prevention.

9. Security

We use administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect information, including HTTPS/TLS encryption in transit, encryption of sensitive tokens at rest, and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.

11. Your Rights (GDPR/CCPA)
